1. Youngistaan

The Jack Bhagnani and Neha Sharma staring Vasu Bhagnani’s film, Youngistan, were shot in a major portion in the food city. The Director and actor themself belong to Indore and other stars accompanying were Boman Irani and Farooq Sheikh.

2. Singh Sahab the great

The film widely covered market areas of Indore including Lal Bagh Palace, Chhappan Dukan, By-pass area, Mayank Blue water park, Regional park, super corridor and Rajwada. It had Sunny Deol and Amisha Pate and Amrita Rao in the lead and was directed by Director Prakash Jha.

3. Yamla-Pagla-Diwana-2

The Jat trio got the sequel of their movie, Yamla-Pagla-Diwana , shot in Maheshwar. The scenes of Banaras which were not too applicable to be shot in the Banaras city itself due to the not-so-cleanghats, got a good room near Indore.

4. Tevar

The famous ghats of Maheshwar once again came rolling in Bony Kapoor’s production Tevar. Thearjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s film has got the movie’s introductory song with the actress shot in Maheshwar. Actor Manoj Bajpai and Choreographer Remo D’Souza along with the lead actress showed up in the town. The movie is not just a big banner but also a big budgeted bowl of Rs 2.5 crore with Sonakshi’s Sinha’s costume alone costing Rs 75 lakh.

5. Ajab Gazab Love

Once again Jacky Bhagnani’s native love brought him back to the city of ‘sev’ for another shot. The movie casted Arjun Rampal along with Arshad Warsi and Kiron Kher.

6. Pyaar kiya toh Darna kya

The Bhagnani duo is not the only one coming back home for shooting. Salman’s love for Indorehas brought him shooting in Daly College for his film, Pyar kiya toh Darna kya, starring Kajol and Arbaz Khan in it.

7. Jism se Rooh tak

Looks like Ghats are not the one thing that is fascinating Bollywood towards Indore. This Kiran Art Production’s Horror film got some big shots from Indore and Mandu as well.

8. Ghayal Once Again

The sequel of “Balwant Rai ke kutton” is coming up from the 1990 Sunny deol starring film, Ghayal. A few of Indore’s hotels and Bhopals sights covered in the movie.

9. Hum nahi sudhrenge

Another small budget film by Maheshwari Production and Reliance Entertainment made its way to Indore preferring the easy reach to local investors and artists as compared to those from outside.

10. Kinara

And yet, it is not now that Indore has influenced film makers to make films but since 1977Gulzar’slong afternoon scenes from this retro were cut at Mandu near Indore. The movie starred Jitendra, Hema Malini and Dina Pathak in it.
